It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Herald Simmons (Brandywine, West Virginia), who passed away on January 7, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Walter Simmons and Iva Simmons (Painter); his spouse Agnes M. Varner Simmons; his children, Janet L. Roberson (Lowell) of Weyers Cave, VA and David W. Simmons (Christina) of Brandywine, WV; his grandchildren, Tonia Hedrick (Matt), Trisha Knicely (Dennis), Amanda Smith (Greg) and Amber Brown (Justin); his great grandchildren, Connor, Carrigan, Corinne Hedrick, Jenna Anderson, Adalyn and Brynlee Smith; his daughter Carla Sue Simmons; and his siblings, William Miller and Doretha "Dot" Sinnett.
