It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James D. Smith (Bridgeport, West Virginia), born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, who passed away on April 2, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Morton and Emma Belle Howell Morton. He is survived by: his children, James J. Smith of St. Augustine, FL, Beverly, Talkington (Michael) of West Milford and Jacqueline "Jackee" Pryor of Bridgeport; and his siblings, John Morton of Bridgeport, Jack Morton of Summit Park and Sandra Barrick (Roger) of Hilton Head, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Medbrook Children's Charity, P. O. Box 1021, Bridgeport, WV 26330.
