It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Konrad Andrew Melkus of Bridgeport, West Virginia, who passed away on May 1, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W. Melkus and Mary E. Hughes Melkus; his brothers, Joseph, Fredrick and James Melkus; and his brother-in-law Frank Zasloff.
He is survived by: his wife Ilene J. Zasloff Melkus; his brother Don Nestor of Clarksburg; his sister-in-law Etta Zasloff; and his friend Julie Zasloff. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
