He is survived by: his wife Heidi Altizer Kennedy; his grandchildren, Mitchell Kennedy (Megan), Brennan Kennedy, Donovan Kennedy, Aidan Kennedy (Georgia) and Faith Kennedy; and his brother George M. Kennedy (Millie).
