It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Galen Manuel Bankhead of Bruceton Mills, West Virginia, who passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Bankhead and Winona Bankhead (Uphold); his siblings, Marvin Bankhead, Lawson Bankhead and Patricia "Patty" Bankhead; and his siblings-in-law, Lawrence Dudley, Donald Adams and Wilma Bankhead.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Gail Bankhead (Henson); his daughters, Julie Robak, Angie Jeffreys, Misty Marie Bankhead and Lacie Bankhead; his stepdaughters, Angela Henson and Sandra Dietz; and his siblings, Melvin Bankhead (Lola), Stanley Bankhead, David Bankhead, Shirley Dudley and Diane Hines (Bill). He is also survived by six grandchildren.
