Though Cynthia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Cynthia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hyder Willis and Janet Elaine Eakin (Shoemaker); her stepfather Jospeh Albert Eakin; her husband Dalton Charles "Red" Charlton; her brother Guy William Willis; and her son-in-law David "DJ" Davis.
She is survived by: her brothers, Gregory Sheldon Willis of Burlington and Jeffrey Steven Willis (Trixie) of Burlington; her stepbrother Jospeh Albert Eakin, Jr. of Morgantown, WV; and her aunt Holly Loveta Bosley (Ted) of Burlington.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (2266 Northwestern Turnpike, Burlington, WV 26710). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
