It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William R. DeWitt of Caldwell, West Virginia, born in Walla Walla, Washington, who passed away on February 4, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Frederick and Hazel Marie Menginiot DeWitt; his daughter Elizabeth Kitching; and his siblings, Gene DeWitt and Barbara Harmon.

He is survived by : his wife Elvina Garnett DeWitt; his stepsons, James K. Reed Jr. (Leslye) of Maryland, Robert A. Reed (Lori) of Mt. Airy, MD and Ronald Reed (Dina) of Maui, HI; his siblings, Lee DeWitt of Walla Walla, WA and Diane Nickleson of Walla Walla, WA; his brothers-in-law, Marvin Zimmerman Jr. and Jackie Lee Zimmerman; and his great grandchild Damon L. Quick. He is also survived by six grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
