He is survived by: his wife Shelley B. Johnson; his children, Brenda L. Thorne (Wayne), Rhonda N. Weachter (David) of Manassas, VA and Gary T. Thorne of Manassas, VA; his grandchildren, Kevin Weachter (Brandi) and Shelley Bright (Sean); and his siblings, Marvin Thorne of Maysville, WV, Gerald Thorne of Palmyra, PA, Lois Swick of Keyser, WV, Irene Druyff of Manassas, VA and Darline Junkins of Petersburg, WV..
