He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas L. Elliott and Sadie Smeltzer Elliott; his son Todd Elliott; his stepson Clifton "Cliffie" Himelwright, Jr.; and his brothers, Ralph and Russell Elliott.
He is survived by: his close friend Louise Himelwright; his daughters, Julie Spaid Hockman (Chris) of Strasburg, VA, Marilyn Ferris (Jason) of Middletown, VA and Tammy Arbaugh (Jibber) of Wardensville, WV; his siblings, Shelva Fitzgerald of Zep, VA and James Elliott of Stephens City, VA; his grandchildren, Josh Spaid, Tessa Hockman, Lexus Hockman, Jimmy Walker, Cheyenne, Brandon Ferris, Hunter, Ben Arbaugh, Logan and Colby Himelwright; and his great grandchildren, Maggie, Derek Spaid, Olivia Fleming, Mia and Eli Arbaugh.
