It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Minnie Lucas of Chapmanville, West Virginia, who passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Workman and Gertrude Lambert Workman; her husband Glen Earl Lucas; her brother Paul Ferrell (Marie); and her parents-in-law, John Lucas and Virdi Tipton Lucas.
She is survived by: her children, Robert "Bob" Lucas (Debra) and Sue Salmons (Ronnie); her grandchildren, Jodi Adkins (Jason), Jeni Thompson (Matt), Rodney Salmons (Chrissy), Rachael Honaker and Kayla Salmons; her great grandchildren, Jessi Adkins, Jaxon Adkins, Lorelai Thompson, Gracie Thompson and Ruby Thompson; her nephew David Ferrell (Zandra); and her cousins, Doris Adkins, Oretha Workman and Nancy Midkiff.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home, Inc. (220 Main St, Chapmanville, WV 25508). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV.
