He is survived by: his children, Terry Burns of Switzer and Robert Basadre of Stone Branch; his grandchildren, Val Hager (Chris) of Big Ugly, Austin Basadre of Stone Branch, Derek Basadre of Stone Branch and Kaycee Varney of North Carolina; his great grandchildren, Keisha, Cierra Hager of Big Ugly, Eli Basadre of Stone Branch, Charlie Mon of Stone Branch and Emma Varney of North Carolina; his siblings, Bertha Kellett (Herb), Minnie Evans, Ida Freeman (Jay), Norma Vaden (Larry), Wealtha Massie and Virgil "Fud" Kirk (Lynn); and his siblings' children, Homer and Velma Lacy. He is also survived by other extended family and friends.
