She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles D. Johnston and Addie Arnett Johnson; her husbands, Benny Dorsey and Charles Hopkins, Sr.; her sons, David Dorsey and Pat Dorsey; and her sister Margaret.

She is survived by : her son Tim Dorsey of Shenandoah Junction, WV. She is also survived by five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
