It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kenneth Francis Athey Sr. (Charles Town, West Virginia), who passed away on March 20, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Irvin Wallace Athey and Lela F. Athey (Shipe); his siblings, Garland Athey, Joseph William Athey (Bill), Marvin Athey, Allen Athey and Charlotte Gageby; and his grandson Paul K. Seilhamer.

He is survived by : his spouse Estelle Elaine Hively; his sister Juanita Link of Shenandoah Junction; and his children, Kenneth F. Athey, Jr. (Marge) of Laurel, Delaware, Daniel L. Athey (Faye) of Kearneysville, Lois A. Seilhamer of Martinsburg, Irvin L. Athey (Sharon) of El Paso and Ellen A. Hansen (Keith) of Columbia, TN. He is also survived by great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Thomas Evangelical Lutheran Church, 111 South Seminary Street, Charles Town, WV 25414.
