It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merle Edward Anderson of Charles Town, West Virginia, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 10, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Merle Baker and Mary Anderson; his daughters, Lorie Jo Anderson and Brenda Faye Stucks; and his siblings, Eloise Mann and Kenny Cline.
He is survived by : his wife Lily M. Ashby; his children, Debra Remsburg (John) of Burkittsville and Merle E. Anderson, Jr. (Christy Brown) of Summit Point, WV; his stepsons, Bobby, Marvin and Billy Ashby; and his siblings, Judy Harnish, Bob, Dick, Mike and Larry Cline.
