She was predeceased by : her parents, Ralph E. Birkitt and Dorothy Birkitt (Bates); her siblings, Michael and Janet O'Bannon; her former life partner Gerald L McVicker; and her son Dennis L Shiflett.
She is survived by : her sons, Richard A Shiflett (Deborah), Bryon K Shiflett (Joan) and William R Shiflett (Billy); her sister Priscilla Smith (Bill); her nephew Jeffrey O'Bannon; her niece Cyndy McKee; and her former life partner William R Shiflett Sr..
