He was predeceased by: his parents, Granville Donnally Sheets and Dorothy Sheets (Watson). He is survived by: his sister Sarah Fitzhugh Sheets of Charleston, WV; his nieces, Laura Anne Steck, Carrie Mandela Nyden and Katharine Allende Nyden; and his nephew Christopher Dubois Nyden. He is also survived by two great nieces and two great nephews.
