She was predeceased by : her parents, James Edmond and Elvie Elizabeth McCune (Hayes); her husband Thomas Hackney; and her siblings, Roy McCune, Junior McCune, Perry 'Tom McCune, Kathryn Balser, Freda Phipps, Tressie Barnett and Madeline Sizemore.

She is survived by : her children, Kathy Hackney, Tommy Hackney (Jenine), Mary Beth Arthur (Adam) and Carla Campbell (Jimmy); her grandchildren, Terry, Hilary Summerhill (Mike), Kevin Campbell (Kaley) and Zac Campbell; her great grandchildren, Chloe and Claire Summerhill; and her siblings, Johnny McCune (Alice), Graydon McCune (Wanda), Helen Elswick and Charity Tuell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, it is mandated by the Governor and the CDC that proper facial coverings be worn and that social distancing be observed.
