He was predeceased by : his parents, Ocie Lee and Louella Wimer (Vance); his daughter Amanda Wimer; his granddaughter Tiffany Ann Wimer; and his brother Earlie Wimer.

He is survived by : his spouse Jurlene Wimer (Vance); and his daughters, Sandra Judy (Richard) of Circleville, WV and Melissa Wimer of Franklin, WV. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
