He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Alastanos and Despina Georgaroudis Alastanos; his wife Susan Herold Alastanos; his siblings, Anna Fanady, John Alastanos, Catherine Lopez, George Alastanos and Steve Alastanos; and his grandson Dean Stire.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Alastanos (Diane) of Stonewood and Chris Alastanos (Pam) of Stonewood; his grandchildren, Angela Oliver (Ryan), Kristin Kellar (Chris) and Logan Alastanos (Madison); his great grandchildren, Landen Gillum, Lochlan Oliver, Leighton Oliver, Ava Kellar and Hattie Dean Alastanos; his stepgrandchildren, Zachary Stire, Bailey Stire and Kendall Stire; his siblings, Gus Alastanos (Judy) of Nutter Fort and Mary D'Onfrio of Dundalk, MD; his sisters-in-law, Olga Alastanos of Clarksburg and Sophia Alastanos of Frederick, MD; and his caregivers, Missi, Robin, Pam, Debby and Angelo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
