Deloris June Gabriel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gabriel and Mary Perry Gabriel; her brother Donald Gabriel; and her siblings-in-law, Randy Barnes, Joan Barnes, Judy "Mitz" Andrew (Dave Andrew) and Rose-Ella Matheny (John Matheny).
She is survived by: her husband John J. Barnes; her son John R. Hixenbaugh (Scott Hixenbaugh) of Pittsburgh, PA; her brother Richard Gabriel (Loretta Gabriel) of Goose Creek, SC; and her siblings-in-law, Faye Gabriel of Federalsburg, MD, Elizabeth "Bets" Barnes of Clarksburg, WV, Sam Barnes (Cathy Barnes) of Shinnston, WV, Robert Barnes (Virginia Barnes) of Mechanicsburg, VA and Sherry Barnes of Bridgeport, WV. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home (201 Edison St, Nutter Fort, WV 26301). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (8092 Third St, Stonewood, WV 26301). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM and at 7:30 PM.
