It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Marion Butler Sr. of Clarksburg, West Virginia, who passed away on May 6, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Andrew and Rose Marie Butler; his children, Joseph M "Joey" Butler Jr. and Melissa Butler; his siblings, Jim, Vonda Trask (Norman), Jean Simcox (Bro) and Florann Riddle (Bill); and his brother-in-law Willard Burrows.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Butler; his children, Kimberly Butler of Mexico, Shannon Fulton (Parker) of Shinnston, Linda Patton (Billy Lauer) of Clarksburg, Andrew Butler (Valerie) of Clarksburg, Shawn Martin (Mallory) of Jacksonville, FL, Michelle Yeager (Art) and James Martin of Weston; and his siblings, Kathy Burrows, Girt Reed, Helen Wright (Bud), Virginia Butler and Frank Butler. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
