She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Mays and Josephine Louise Barberio Barnes; her husband John C. Matheny; her siblings, Johnny Barnes, Judy (Mitzy Andrew), Jimmy Barnes, Randy Barnes and Mary Barnes; and her siblings-in-law, Dave Andrew and Jone Barnes.
She is survived by: her sons, John C. Matheny, II (Kimberly Reed) of Clarksburg and Robert G. Matheny (Melissa) of Bridgeport; her grandchildren, Maria Seamon (Zach), Jacob Swiger (Alisia), Brayden Matheny, Robert Matheny, II (Laura), Joseph M. Matheny (Casey Richwine), Joshua Matheny (Kyley) and Dominick J. Matheny; her great grandchildren, Violet Matheny, Rosella Matheny, Kinsley Townsend, Gianna Seamon, Kimber Matheny, Vincent Seamon, Karri Matheny, Cayson Swiger, Caydon Swiger, Nila Swiger and Grayson Swiger; her brothers, Robert Barnes, Jr. (Virginia) of Richmond, VA and Sam Barnes (Cathy) of Shinnston; and her sisters-in-law, Bets Barnes, Sherry Barnes and Delores Barnes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
