He is survived by : his wife Kathy May Sullivan Cooper; his sons, John Cooper II of Coal City and Bret Cooper (Judy) of Cool Ridge; his stepdaughter Brandi Williams (Dave) of Oak Hill; his grandchildren, Amber Cooper, Dalton Cooper, Kadin Cooper, Dacoda Cooper, Jacob Cooper, Levi Cooper, Jason Grubb, Joshua Grubb, Halie Pack and Brenton Lilly; his great grandchildren, Jayden and Josie Grubb; and his siblings, Gary Cooper (Renee) of Danese, James "Butch" Cooper (Becky) of Coal City, Quincy Cooper (Christina) of Hagerstown, MD. and Patricia Sanger of Midway.
