We are sad to announce that on June 11, 2025, at the age of 93, Dorothy Huddleston Bannister of Culloden, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Willie Herbert and Allie Love Huddleston; her husband Wallace Oliver Bannister; her children, Detra Jyl Bannister and Wallace Leonard; and her sister Wilene Keasler.
She is survived by: her children, Lackawanna Teams (Jim) of Ona, WV and Kevin Reed Bannister of Atlanta, GA; her siblings-in-law, Troy and Marlene Bannister; her grandchildren, April Lea Wilson (Dallas), James Scott Teams, Jon Eric Teams Nathaniel (Tracy) and Reed Bannister; her great grandchildren, Lauren McCoy (Zach), Andrew, Alex Carroll, Ashton, Ethan, Amelia Teams, Abby, Isaiah and Isaac Prince; and her nieces and nephews, Karen Edmonds, Mylon Keasler, Terry Keasler, Dara Kiser and Kathy Shaffer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Henson and Kitchen Mortuary and Cremation Services (1592 E Pea Ridge Rd, Huntington, WV 25705). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
