He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Sovine and Clara Sovine; his son John Allen Jr.; and his brother George Sovine. He is survived by: his wife Marion; his sons, Fritz Sovine (Crystal) of Hurricane and Larry Sovine (Christiana) of Charleston; and his siblings, Ginger Sowards, Mildred Smith and Clarence Sovine. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
