With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Leighton (Danville, West Virginia), who passed away on June 12, 2020 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Alex Stephens and Anna Stephens (Taylor); her sons, Frank Herald, Jr. and Warren Herald; her daughters-in-law, Mary Jane Talbott and Jeannie Herald; her husband David Leighton; her siblings, Audley Stephens, Eddie P. Stephens, Paris Stephens, Ose R. Stephens, Mary Olive Messler and Polly Ann Stephens; and her half-brothers, Willie Stephens and Emory Stephens.

She is survived by : her children, Joyce Ann Herald and Ronald Herald (Martha); her daughters-in-law, Barbara Herald and Dinah Stewart; her grandchildren, Lisa Pierce, Robin Anderson, Betsy Entsminger (Warren), James Farley, Jr. (Tina), Paula Webb (Johnny), Beth Kitchen (Kevin), Kristinia Heavener (Clint), Stephen Herald, Joseph Herald (Charity), David Herald (Jaime), Amy Simpson, Frank Herald (Angela), William Alexander (Tisha), Stephen Alexander and Laquita Sellers (Curtis); her sister-in-law Dolores Stephens; and her nieces and nephews, LaMarr, Phyllis, Rebecca, Marilyn, Daneen, Sharon, Rodney, Terry, Guy, Alex Paul, Greg, Mark, Sheldon and Billie Joe.

Due to Covid-19 the family is asking that those attending the services to please practice social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Mack's memory may make a donation to Dignity Hospice or to the charity of your choice.
