He was predeceased by : his parents, James Henry and Roxie Jane Bennett Townsley; and his brothers, Stuart Eugene Christian and George Roger Townsley. He is survived by : his wife Ida Marlene Meadows Townsley; his children, Frederick Paul Townsley, Jr. of Danville and Deborah Lynn Townsley (Debbie) of Danville; his grandchildren, Brandi (Matt Harvey), Blake (Danielle Spurlock), Ashley Townsley and Jeremiah Butcher (Jesse Spurlock); his sister Anna Rose Townsley Pack of North Olmsted, OH; and his great grandchildren, Riley, Breven, Embri, Julianna, Brees, Blaze, Lakyn and Emily.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Shriner's Children's Hospital.
