He is survived by: his sisters, Jacqueline "Jackie" Richmond, Patricia "Pat" Girvin and Ruby Bennett; his wife Vicky Gibson-Lawson; his children, John Carl Calvert (Linda) of Arnold, Maryland, Victoria Nichole Lawson of Eccles and Morgan Rene Paynter (Clay) of Bellevue, Nebraska.; his grandchildren, Sebastian Calvert, Brandon Calvert, Jacob Calvert, Adelynn Calvert, Kyndall Paynter, Raegan Paynter and Baby Boy Paynter; his siblings, Earl Lawson of Dahlonega, Georgia, Dr. Dave Lawson (Brenda) of Avon Park, Florida., Jewel Lawson of Avon Park and Juanita Henrich (Finn) of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania; and his siblings-in-law, Rev. Stevie Gibson (Sylvia) of Oceana, Rev. Jimmy Gibson (Janet) of Lavonia, Georgia and Deanza Phillips (Paul) of King. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
