She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Everett Buchanan and Alma Buchanan; her husband Richard Uhl; her daughters, Rebecca Uhl (Tony Vaccaro) and Susan Lhamon; her grandchildren, Erin, Emily and Kyle Vaccaro; and her sister-in-law Vidabelle Buchanan.
