It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Burton Edward Steerman (Elkins, West Virginia), born in Belington, West Virginia, who passed away on October 6, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton W. Steerman and Mabel Brady Steerman; his spouse Jean Corley; and his brother James Steerman. He is survived by: his daughters, Anita Fortney (Loren) and Edie Brake; his grandchildren, Catherine Brake and Nathan Fortney (Christie); his great grandchildren, Kiara and J. T.; and his siblings, Doris Christian, June Swick (Melvin), Carol Perks (Bill), Ilona Napier, Wilda Martin (Jim) and Charles Steerman (Mary).
Donations may be made in Ed's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
