She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Lee Hyson and Olive June Woolwine Hyson; and her husband Leon Joseph "Bud" Higgins. She is survived by: her children, Deborah "Debbie" McDonald (Jayson) of Belington, Loretta "Jeannie" Bertolini of Elkins and Robert "Robbie" Clay Higgins of Elkins; her brother Richard Hyson; her grandchildren, Roger "Dub" Channell, Rebecca Channell, Kathy Bennett (Patrick), Bethany Jo Hill (Levi), Parker, Liam and Ana McDonald; her great grandchildren, Paislee and Raiden; and her pet Cubby. She is also survived by several children that considered Carole their Grandma, several nieces and nephews.
