It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolene Jackson of Elkins, West Virginia, born in Parcoal, West Virginia, who passed away on May 21, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Burton and Vannie Belle Canfield Lane; her husband James Lee Jackson; and her siblings, Homer B. Lane, Jr., Richard, Gerald, Harold Lane, Athlea Lane and Alene Paul.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl Basil (William) of Elkins, Christy Tingler (Joseph) of Elkins and Cindy Jackson of Elkins; her grandchild Courtney Basil of Elkins, WV.; her sister Sharon K. Poe of Elkins; and her sister-in-law Louise Wagoner of High Point, NC.
