He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Lothes and Anna Burr Lothes Donaldson; his son Paul Edward Lothes; his brothers, Richard "Dick" Lothes and Thomas "Tom" Lothes; his sister-in-law Jackie Lothes; and his stepfather Jim Donaldson.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Faye Zohner; his sons, Charles David Lothes of Elkins and Gregory Allen Lothes of Florida; and his stepson Jonathan Robert Zohner of Hurricane, WV. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
