He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Johnson and Milda Elizabeth "Betty" Flynn Johnson; his former wife Dorothy Jean Phares Bodkins; his children, David, Neil, Dan and Sharon Bodkins; and his siblings, Sharon Simmons, Patty Simmons and Jeffrey Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Katherine Rohr; his children, Donna Edmond (David) of Norton, Tisha Gardner (Cory) of Elkins, Katrina Thompson (James) of Elkins, Stephanie "Tubby" Glasgow (Robbie) of Elkins, Jimmy Bodkins of Beverly and Harold Bodkins; his grandchildren, Tiffany Edmond, Olivia, Skyla, Greyson, Adaleigh, Everly Gardner, Luke, Phoebe, Arwan Thompson, Jimmy, Lisa and Eric Bodkins; and his sisters, Charlotte Corley of Elkins and Roxanna Watson (Ricky) of Junior.
