We are sad to announce that on December 27, 2021, at the age of 87, Irene M. Hicks of Elkins, West Virginia, born in Mill Creek, West Virginia passed away. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony W. Swiger and Lina Hammonds Swiger; and her daughter Sherry Jean Aston. She is survived by: her spouse Thomas R. Hicks; and her children, Deborah Brafford of Virginia, Jennifer L. Bussey, Tony Lee Hicks of Florida, Joyce Ann Hankins of Florida, Sharon Rae Hatter, Thomas R. Hicks, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA and John W. Hicks of Florida. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
