He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Nelson and Amanda Cochran Skidmore. He is survived by: his wife L. Jean Skidmore of Elkins; his son William E. Skidmore of Weston, WV; his stepson R. Michael Kerns (Ruth) of Elkins; his granddaughter Mikela Skidmore; and his stepgrandsons, Tyler, Isaac and Alex Kerns.
