She is survived by: her husband Charles John Canales; her children, Christopher Canales of Frederick, MD, Stephen Canales, Aaron Canales, Sacramento, Caryn Canales of Glendale, CA and Marie E. Canales Higgins of Beverly, WV; and her sister Margo Rusch Gillette of El Paso, TX.
