He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Dow and Winifred Fortney (Harris); his brothers, Larry and Lewis "Lou" Fortney; and his parents-in-law, Ed, Jean Steerman and Helen Belle Corley.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Fortney (Steerman); his son Nathan; his daughter-in-law Christie Fortney; his grandchildren, Kiara Carroll and JT White; his siblings, Lenora (Nick Channell), Linda Ferguson and Lenny Fortney; and his sister-in-law Debbie Fortney. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
