She was predeceased by: her parents, Burley Woods and Grace Woods Johnson; her husband Roscoe Thompson; her stepmother Rachel Woods; her sons, Tommy Robert Thompson and Randall Lynn Thompson; her brother Tommy Johnson; her stepbrother Ricky Fansler; her sister Wanda Mathias; and her grandson Joshua Mark Thompson.

She is survived by: her children, Roy Allen Thompson of Elkins, Ronald Lee Thompson, Doretha Sites, Terry of Seneca Rocks, WV, Debra Snyder of Elkins, Wilma Jones Rogers of Elkins and Brenda Hyre of Volga, WV.; and her siblings, Burley A. Woods, Jr. of Elkins, George Woods of Elkins, Diana Ogden of Elkins and Shirley Duda of Elkridge, MD. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.
