He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hawkins Poling and Louise Poling; his wife Virginia Nora "Genny" Taylor; his children, Liz Hawkins (Jimmy Kisamore), Mikie Hawkins (Maria), Michelle Hawkins (Jack Carr Jr.), Austin "Bub" Hawkins (Chelcy Snyder) and Donnie Taylor; and his close friends, Brandon "Beran" Armsted, David Friedline, Bucky Leary, Shane Rohr and Tubby Glasgow. He was also cherished by three brothers, two sisters, twenty grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
