He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora James and Ervil Martha Simmons Pennington; and his brothers, Stanley and Jim Pennington. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Katherine Caplinger; his daughters, Dottie Price (Denny) of Elkins, Diane Pennington of Manassas, VA and Sherri Wheeler (David) of Elkins; his brother Leo Pennington of Milledgeville, GA; his grandchildren, Elizabeth McLean (Bryce) of Colorado Springs, CO, Christina Pereira of Bristow, VA and Jaron Wheeler (Bailey Rummel); and his stepgrandchildren, Andy Price (Lacey) of Catlin, IL and Heather Yerem (Jimmy) of Catlin, IL. He is also survived by six step great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Otterbein United Methodist Church, 1100 South Davis Avenue, Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Otha.
