It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Jean Vance of Elkins, West Virginia, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on January 2, 2022, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Calvin Vance and Shirley Graham Vance; and her siblings, Diana Ruth Pudder, Michele Lee Pennington, Donald Eugene Vance, Russell Dean Vance and Lana Susan Vance.
She is survived by: her children, Kristen Sutherland (Joseph) of Fort Polk, LA and Gene Herndon (Rachael) of Elkins; her grandchildren, Cheyene, Aurora, Easton and Monica; her siblings, Steven Patrick Vance of Elkins, James Calvin Vance Jr. of Elkins, Gary Wayne Vance of Elkins, John Michael Vance of Grafton, Debi Lynn Vance of Elkins, Marilyn Faye Harris of Elkins and Sharon Kay Campbell (Greg Wilcox) of Mt. Claire; and her siblings' children, Justin Vance, Caleb Pennington, Michael Vance, Cortlan Campbell, Nick Campbell and Brittany Bradshaw. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
