He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Higgins; his daughters, Kristie Skidmore (Brian), Betsy Minear (David) and Joy Szafraniec (Trevor); his grandchildren, Dante Ramirez, Corbin Minear, Cayden Ramirez of Devin Szafraniec, T. J and Sarrah Ramirez; his sister-in-law Sigrid Bennett; and his pet Benny.
