With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William David Swecker Sr. of Elkins, West Virginia, born in Valley Bend, West Virginia, who passed away on February 26, 2022 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Junior and Bertha Evelyn Definbaugh Swecker; his wife Judith Ann Edwards; and his sisters, Evelyn Yoakum and Katherine Lawrence.
He is survived by: his children, William David "Bill" Swecker, Jr. (Christina) of Huttonsville, Vincent Edward Swecker of Georgetown, KY and Teresa Ann Swecker of Huntington; his grandchildren, Brenlyn Swecker, Garrett Swecker and Allison Callicoat; his brothers, Russell Swecker (Wanda), Carroll Swecker (Lenora) and Joe Swecker (Ellen); and his siblings-in-law, Ray Lawrence, Lois Roma, Sandra Edwards and Elsie Barrett (John). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
