She was predeceased by: her parents, S. W. Byers and Marie Byers; and her sisters, Barbara, Dorothy and Shirley.
She is survived by: her husband Matthew Carte (Preach); her daughter Melanie McKinney (Mike) of Beckley; her grandsons, Bobby (PJ) and Coty Deahl; and her great grandchild Miria Deahl of California. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Hafer Funeral Home (50 N Pinch Rd, Elkview, WV 25071). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
