He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter C. Reed and Grace M. Gumm Reed; his wife Betty L. Kanipes Reed; and his brothers, Paul Buford Reed and James Delano Reed.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Altman of Fairlea and Edward Reed (Judie); his grandchildren, Candace Giddens (Cecil) of Richmond Hill, GA, Andrea Romberg of Savannah, GA., Jimmy Reed (Donna) and Shanna Angiel (Adam); his great grandchildren, Brooke West of Richmond Hill, GA., Logan Reed, Cooper Reed, Beckett Reed, Ryder Angiel and Parker Angiel; his great great grandchild Reece Rogers of Richmond Hill, GA.; his sister Shirley Griffith; and his sister-in-law Bonnie King (Jimmy) of Fairlea, WV.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
