He was predeceased by : his parents, Edwin Leon Woodson and Cornelia E. Harris Woodson; his wife Pamela Boyd-Woodson; his son Tyrone K. Woodson; and his grandson Eric R. Woodson II.

He is survived by : his sons, Eric R. Woodson of Fairmont, David E. Woodson, Jacob P. Woodson, Johnathan T. Woodson and Micah C. Woodson; his grandchildren, Aanalyca M. Woodson, Karina N. Woodson and Elijah Woodson; and his goddaughter Natosha Hickman.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel (201 Columbia St, Fairmont, WV 26554). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the West Virginia Nation Cemetery (42 Veterans Memorial Ln, Grafton, WV 26354).
