He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel Marshall Retton and Mary Lois Retton (Henderson); his daughter Shari (Mike Timko); his sister Pam Washenitz (Frank, Sr.) of Fairmont; his siblings-in-law, Gloria Straight (Howard) of Harpers Ferry, WV and Terry Wilson of Fairmont; his wife Lois Jean Retton (Prozillo); his children, Ronnie, Jr. (Darla Retton), Donnie Retton, Jerry and Brenda Retton; and his grandchildren, Mary Lou Retton, Drew Retton (Cindy), Jaci Gabelt (Jake), Karli Niemeyer (Gage), Wittlee Retton-Tennant (Matt), Tanya Hecht (Will), Brett Retton (Chloe), Ronnie Retton III, Ashley Retton, Shayla Schrepfer (Wyatt), McKenna Kelley, Skyla Kelley and Emma Kelley. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
