He was predeceased by : his parents, Clyde Summers and Retta Varner Summers; his siblings, Ellen Jarvis (Carl), Madelyn Brummage (Howard), Jean Barr (Everett), Jaretta Gail Summers, Frank Summers (Lottie) and Chester Summers (Betty); his parents-in-law, Joy and John Knisely; his granddaughter Alicia Dawn Shaheed; and his siblings-in-law, Lillian Summers and Edward Bulkoski.
He is survived by : his wife Janet K. Knisely Summers; his children, Kenneth Summers (Cheryl) of Fairview and Tammy Gump (Mike) of Fairview; his grandchildren, Ashley Bland (Josh) of Fairview, Kayla Given (Charlie) of Mannington and Shontae Shaheed of Louisiana; his great grandchildren, Westin Lee Bland and Baby Given; his siblings, Ruby Summers of Fairview, Patty Kish (Steve) of Fairview, Betty Ruth Bulkoski of Ohio, Dave Summers (Margaret) of Fairview, Otis Summers of Fairview and Bill Summers (Toni) of Grant Town; and his siblings-in-law, June Bauer of Pennsylvania and James Knisely (Carolyn) of Mannington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Fairview Food Pantry or West Virginia Rescue Ministries.
