She was predeceased by : her parents, Rev. Henry Stewart Porter and Mary Helen Porter (Pyles); her son Bart Salmons; her brother Henry Stewart Porter, Jr.; and her half-siblings, Ray Porter, Fred Porter, Bessie Blevins, Jessie Blevins, Lutie Tabor, Jenny Ratliff and Hazel Light.

She is survived by : her husband Wilts D. Salmons; her son Bret Salmons (Gina); her grandchildren, Annie Salmons, Jessie McCarty and Noah Salmons; her siblings, Ralph Porter (Sharion), Don Porter (Teresa), Rick Porter (Susan), Freda Pratt, Betty Preece (Jim), Lorraine Lewis (Larry), Mary Walker and Aletha Collins; and her half-brother Bernard Porter (Betty). She is also survived by many other in-laws, family, and friends.
